Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in a lovely location, set in an elegant old building with attractive grounds. The rooms are spacious, of good quality, and impressive, with beautiful bathrooms. The service is generally nice and includes thoughtful extras. The dining experience offers plenty of choices but may have some minor issues. The hotel's facilities are well-kept and provide a comfortable stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The rooms were generally clean and comfortable, offering lovely spacious accommodations with a great bathroom. However, I did notice some dust in the room. The views and extra space were definitely worth the higher price. The service was a bit inconsistent, from a great arrival tour to some staff socializing during work hours. The location was fantastic with numerous attractions nearby, although some facilities like the spa lacked fresh air. The dining experience was good overall, especially the included breakfast. The hotel has excellent facilities for guests to enjoy.
The hotel has lovely views from the Coach House rooms, with a luxurious marble bathroom/wet room. However, the lack of soundproofing was a surprise once inside. On the bright side, the location is fantastic with a lot to explore around, including a fun maze, but the noise from the Spa extraction fans/pumps can disturb your sleep if in Room 10. The dining experience was a mix of great food but also poor service, and although the staff is helpful, they may seem unprofessional at times. The facilities offer comfortable amenities, albeit a bit lifeless at times.
